With us in spirit? We have a seat for you
If you haven’t been to Foundation for ages, this one’s for you.
Last Sunday someone super delightful came to Foundation for the first time in 2 years, and was incredibly apologetic about it. It wasn’t the first time I’ve had people sheepishly introduce themselves, apologising for last coming ‘forever ago’, and seeming to feel awkward or embarrassed at having left it so long.
Life is so busy, and making time is hard. Whether something actively prevents you, or you’ve just not got around to it, please know that it’s totally okay that you haven’t made it back here.
Every one of you, whether you’ve been once or a hundred times, last week or ten years ago, is a valuable part of Foundation’s community. We will always be pleased to see you. And we will always be pleased to not see you, if not coming is what you need more.
There is a seat saved for each of you. No one will judge you, or be critical, or question where you’ve been. No sorry’s needed! I’d love to meet you when you can make it, but if you never make it again, your openheartedness, curiosity and intention is good enough for me.
And if I know anything about God, it’s probably good enough for her too.
Be gentle with yourselves, and I’ll see some of you on Sunday.
Love,
Andy
