This page has been left largely intact to give you an idea of what normal worship looks like for our community. However, at the moment we are not living in normal times, so we are mostly meeting virtually. For more information about how we are gathering as a virtual community and to look at our virtual prayer resources please click here.

We meet for our Sunday evening service at 7.30pm as a congregation of Cotham Parish Church in Cotham, Bristol. The monthly pattern of worship is Rest, Create, Table, [Rest] and Last Sunday. The service is followed by a drink and conversation.

Community Meals and Social Drinks

We enjoy sharing food, drink and good company together, and meet regularly for bring and share community meals and drinks in the pub.

Friendly Forum

We host regular Friendly Forum events involving exploration of ideas and themes relevant to living out faith. Recent topics have included artificial intelligence, singleness, environment and faith and poetry.

Friendly Stage

We collaborate with other churches to organise Friendly Stage events, which bring together performers, artists, local community leaders and charities, and engage with faith, arts and justice.

We organise one-day and longer retreats both in the city and deep in the countryside, where we share in contemplation, rest and fellowship, sometimes visiting historic Christian sites.

We draw upon a broad range of theologians, mystics, writers and poets, including (among more modern sources) CS Lewis and the Inklings, RS Thomas, Evelyn Underhill, Pete Rollins, Thomas Merton, Flannery O'Connor, Dag Hammarskjold, Rowan Williams and others.
