Book groups and mystic poetry discussion
We host regular events involving exploration of ideas and themes relevant to living out faith and mysticism. Recent topics have included artificial intelligence, singleness, environment and faith and poetry.
We collaborate with other churches to organise Friendly Stage events, which bring together performers, artists, local community leaders and charities, and engage with faith, arts and justice. To look at our most recent friendly stage event please click here.
We organise one-day and longer retreats both in the city and deep in the countryside, where we share in contemplation, rest and fellowship, sometimes visiting historic Christian sites.
We draw upon a broad range of theologians, mystics, writers and poets, including (among more modern sources) CS Lewis and the Inklings, RS Thomas, Evelyn Underhill, Pete Rollins, Thomas Merton, Flannery O'Connor, Dag Hammarskjold, Rowan Williams and others.
